I never thought our wedding day could be the most beautiful day of our lives. But that day something magical happened.
Everything started almost 8 years ago, on a January evening when Gabriele told me I wanted to marry me. We had been together for less than four months, but it was all I wanted to hear.
Several years passed until we really started to think about it. I fell in love with short full circle dresses, so we chose a 50’s and 60’s retro inspiration.
A color palette of red, powder blue, pink and just a hint of yellow. An outdoor party, only 40 guests, many colorful flowers and the beautiful view of the hills.
After two years thinking about it, that day came for real.
I got ready in a quiet room, just girls…or, well, almost. My room was so quiet that the anxious groom came several times to calm himself down, before I wore my wedding dress.
A 50’s style polka dot dress, made by my grandmother, just as I wanted it. A little bow, red like my shoes, no veil, just a pearl and swarovski headpiece, a gift from my sister and maid of honor. I didn’t want Gabriele to see me wearing my wedding dress in that room.
I had other projects for that.
That moments with my husband to be before the ceremony were some of my favorite of the whole day. A few minutes just for us and when it was almost 5 o’ clock we got on our car, ready to get married.
