The ceremony location decor was gorgeous. Pinwheels everywhere! Gabriele and I made almost 150 of them in the weeks before our wedding and Sofia of Il profumo dei fiori took care of everything else. She used them to decorate the aisle and she decorated the chairs with flowers.
Other pinwheels were hanging from the tree in painted glass bottles. Four baskets filled with wonderful flowers, hydrangeas, roses, dahlias, carnations, astilbe, chamomile, garden roses, berries and craspedia completed the ceremony decor.
I smiled so much that Gabriele watching our photos stated “You laughed TOO MUCH”. He was just a little emotional instead.
My lovely bridesmaids were so enthusiast and supportive. They loved the idea of vintage inspired outfits and they helped me a lot, from my hair, styled by my cousin, to the last minute diy projects.
The ceremony was short and sweet. My sister read a Pablo Neruda poem and Gabriele and I held hands all the time. After a few minutes we were husband and wife.
I loved my bouquet so much I couldn’t toss it! The groom’s buttonhole was a cute tiny pinwheel.
I love this picture, I guess Gabriele wasn’t so anxious anymore at this point! In our car again, ready to get the party started.
